As part of its expansion plans, Chicken and Co are set to open its biggest restaurant in Ijebu Ode and its second outlets in the town. Located in the ancient town of Ijebu-Ode, a Yoruba city in Ogun State. Ijebu-Ode is home to Sungbo Eredo, a 10,000-mile defensive wall built in the 10th century and host of other exciting historical monuments.
The new Chicken & Co is set out to give the over 350,000 inhabitants of Ijebu-Ode an invigorating and exciting sense of newer adventure. Situated along Ibadan Road, the ‘bank capital’ of Ijebu-Ode, the restaurant is built on a sizeable portion of land that was previously used by the now-defunct Skye Bank and could be seen directly adjacent the Ecobank.
The new restaurant is a storey-building designed to depict the functionality and the aesthetic simplicity of trendy restaurants. The design process was based on the idea that: “When people eat with their eyes first, the food tastes better”. Hence, the restaurant is appealing and relevant both from the street and interior.
The ground floor is home to the waiting and dining room, where you can place your order, eat and dine while the first floor gives customers more choices: a “linger” area that features comfortable armchairs and sofas, with Plasma TVs for the people that eat alone, and the “family zone” where families can enjoy the meals in a colourful environment with fabric cushions.
The parking space features an outstanding space that would ensure your cars are fully secured while you take your time to enjoy the sensational aroma that comes with the food. The building’s entrance gives you a warm embrace to welcome you and reassure you that the restaurant is designed to ensure that you get the best value for your money.
The interior features are designed to ensure that you don’t feel like a stranger to yourself and to the restaurant as well. It is created to enable you to enjoy the beautiful scenery, fulfil the sayings of ‘home away from home’ and to ensure it leaves a lasting impression needed to last a lifetime on you.
The lighting systems are created to improve the overall performance and create room for more comfort. In the interior design of restaurants, lighting is considered an essential factor, hence the restaurant design focuses on the function and psychological impact of various lights on you and to create an atmosphere full of tranquillity, calmness and warmth. The mixture of the light with the colour orange gives you the atmosphere of warmth, enthusiasm and excitement.
The Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) also forms an important feature of this outstanding restaurant as it takes into consideration a consistent supply of cooling, ventilation and proper air condition.
